Doritos Cheesy Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients:

1 regular sized box of pasta
1 regular sized bag of Doritos
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 block of Velveeta (cubed)
1 large can of pre-cooked chicken
1 cup of salsa
1 8oz package of sour cream
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of cream of mushroom soup

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Boil and drain noodles.
Crush bag of Doritos into crumbs

Directions:

Place crushed Doritos onto bottom of greased baking dish.

In a seperate bowl, combine all other ingredients.

Spread evenly on top of crushed Doritos.

Place in oven and cook for 20 mins.

Review: While it was ok and everyone ate it, next time I will leave out the salsa. My family all agreed that the salsa was too overpowering for us.

Erin's first football game

Erin is a cheerleader this year and today was her first official football game. It was cold and rainy, but it didn't dull her spirit at all. She's LOVING cheerleading.

Now for some videos :)

Em's first football game

Last night, Emali had her first ever perform in full uniform with the high school marching band. She was so nervous, but she nailed it. Their theme is Titanic. The play the song called Irish Jig in Third Class. (the song where Rose is downstairs dancing with Jack). They also play the opening theme song, and my heart will go on. It was a very good show. Especially for a band that's mostly made up of kids in the 8th and 9th grades.

I apologize, as this post will be photo and heavy. **Videos removed at request of band director because of a tattletale bully situation which is being rectified**

Hopefully, those of you that have gotten this far have enjoyed these as much as I do. Emali is doing so wonderfully in band this year.

Back to school!!!

On Monday, August, 25th, the girls headed back to school. So hard to believe that Emali is in the 8th grade and Erin started 5th. Both are in Middle School now!

Also, as you can see, Emali chopped off all her hair. I think she looks awesome.

Today, Wednesday, August 27th, Alvin started Kindergarten. Yes, Kindergarten. For those of you doing the math, yes, we held him back a year. However, because of that, we were able to mainstream him. He only gets pulled out for speech classes right now.

Emali's Birthday

Just like Erin, we had a small get together for Emali's birthday. Today, she turned 12! TWELVE! I'm one year away from having a teenager. Can you believe it?

Emali is in to everything sports. She loves playing soccer and wants to add volleyball and basketball to the mix this year as well.

Erin's birthday

We decided just to do a small get together with family after last year's disaster. Next year, she thinks she wants a pool party (at the local community center).  We'll see my dear. We shall see.

Today, Erin turned NINE years old. NINE years old! She has dropped her obsession with cats and has taken up being a Potterhead. She loves anything and everything Harry Potter and her favorite character is Ginny Weasley.

Her expressions kill me. She was amazed by the 9 being created by quarters.

Alvin's birthday

I know, I know. I've been slacking severely this year. I just haven't really been in a blogging mood, especially since hardly anyone reads this.( I know you go Grandma.) However, after talking to Eric about it, I will be blogging more. It's something I want the kids to be able to look back on when they are older and see for themselves what they did growing up. That is a reason for blogging.

So, here's Alvin birthday post!

Happy 5th Birthday, Alvin

Dear Alvin,
Once again, I'm in sheer astonishment at how you are now. Five years ago, today, you were born. It was a Tuesday also. You were born at 4:53pm. You were 7lbs, 2oz in weight and were 20 inches long. Pretty impressive for being nearly a month early. Today, you weigh 34 lbs,5 ozs and you are 39 inches tall. You are now in your second year of preschool and you are loving every minute of it. You've come a long way baby boy. Your Daddy and I love you so very much.
