The Anti Valentine

Ok, since I seem to keep getting harassed royally about it, I need to vent. Eric didnt get me squat for Valentine's Day. Yes, you read that right. However, I DONT CARE! We dont celebrate Valentine's Day. Why? Because no one is going to tell us when we should show our love. If he buys me flowers, I want it to be because he WANTS to, not because some stupid holiday dictates that he needs to. There is no sincerity in Valentine's Day. It's just a holiday for businesses to jack the prices of everything and feel justified. Sorry, if this offends those of you that do celebrate. I just refuse to have a 'holiday' tell me when I should show love to my husband.

Toys, cake, and snow

Well, the weekend came and went. Eric got here about 8:30 on Friday evening. So we spent the rest of the evening just relaxing. Then Saturday morning was spent running errands, and spending time with each other. Karen and Bill stopped in for a couple minutes, then we made a mad dash to get ready to go to my cousin's wedding reception. From there we headed up to Petsmart to get some new toys for Charley. Then, home to head to bed. Sunday morning we got up early to make sure we could get the driveway cleared for the people to come that afternoon.

Alvin's party was a huge success. He got tons of presents. A new digger, a Lightning McQueen car, a remote control train, and a matchbox car. He also got some new clothes. He had a really great time.

Then, we headed outside to play in the snow. Dad and Sam brought a snowboard. Karen and Bill brought their toboggan. Nicole and Wes brought a snowboard too. Since we had a toboggan, we used it as well. Everyone had a blast, even the babies.

Busy weekend ahead!

So...We have a very busy weekend ahead. Eric is coming home from CT for the weekend, my cousin is getting married, we are having a birthday party for Alvin (finally), and on Monday, Alvin has his 2 year checkup and Eric heads back to CT. Oh yeah, we are also going to go to Lowe's and get a new storm door, amongst other things. How in the world are we going to fit everything in in just 3 days???

Snow!

Thursday was my birthday, and yesterday was Alvin's. Unfortunately, he tested positive for RSV so we had to cancel all of our plans for his birthday. So, that sucks.

Then, last night, Mother Nature decided to open up her fury and dump feet of snow on us. We actually have 23 3/4 inches here where I live. Though, other places, like DC, got hit much worse.
