No, I havent lost my mind. I am fully well aware that I didnt paint the whole wall. The parts that have remained gold (the most ugly gold I have ever seen) will be covered by white wainscoting. The blue isnt quite as intense in normal light as it appears in this picture. Look for the Before and After photos sometime in the near future!
